WonkComms: the future of think tank communications

2 May 2013

Last week I attended an event organised by the Social Market Foundation and hosted by ODI on the future of think tank communications.

If you are interested (and you should) you can find the presentations from Richard Darlington(IPPR), Nick Scott (ODI) and John Prideaux (The Economist) here in the video and a storify report of the event.

Also, both Jonathan Tanner at ODI and Leonora Merry at SMF wrote follow up blogs on the event:

In addition they have set up WonkComms blog, a LinkedIn group and a Twitter handle, which aim to provide a space for research communicators to share ideas and experiences.

These are being led by Nick Scott at ODI and the idea is that the blog will be filled with insightful articles and commentary on the future of research communications in think tanks.

As you know Nick’s work has featured in onthinktanks in the past and we are always interested in what he has to say.

If you are based in the UK I certainly recommend that you join the LinkedIn group.

Also, I think this is an excellent example of how to report on an event (most of the text above is from the email I received 48 working hours after the event).
