WonkComms have teamed up with Soapbox to offer the UK WonkComms community a regular opportunity to get together and discuss some of the big challenges of delivering communications in think tanks and research organisations.

Each Breakfast Club session covers a different topic and focuses on the practicalities of communications – whether you’re trying to improve email marketing or do better at engaging with Parliament.

This isn’t about listening, it is about participating. It’s an opportunity to meet people like you, learn from what they are doing and share what you’re doing.

Join WonkComms for the second session, ‘Email Marketing’ at 9am on 20 June 2016 at the Soapbox studio in central London. Emails may seem unglamorous and unloved, but email marketing remains one of the central planks of external communication for many policy organisations.

Email contact varies hugely in terms of style and success rate. But choosing what format to use, who to target, how often to email and how to measure success can be mind-boggling. And that’s before the often perplexing issue of creating, maintaining and managing audience lists. When it comes to creating emails that hit home, what works, what doesn’t, and how can we tell?

We’ll hear from Branislava Milosevic, Digital transformation consultant at Chatham House, on how to create emails with impact. We’ll then open up the conversation for the remainder of the event.

Location: Soapbox Communications Ltd – 128 Southwark Street, London, SE1 0SW, United Kingdom
