The nonpartisan Migration Policy Institute seeks to improve immigration and integration policies in countries around the world through authoritative research and analysis, opportunities for learning and dialogue, and the development of new ideas to address complex policy questions. The Communications operation, where this position is housed, is a fast-paced, impact-focused one central to the institute’s work.

The role

The Communications Officer will contribute to MPI’s work by crafting press releases and social media campaigns, engaging with news organizations in Latin America and beyond, helping shape communications strategies, playing a key role in the redesign of MPI’s website, editing short-form work, and assisting in the promotion of MPI’s public and private events.

Key roles and responsibilities

Writing dissemination materials, helping lead website redesign projects, and generating and editing short-form work.

Experience and skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 2 – 5 years of relevant communications or journalism experience.
