About the role
This is a dynamic and rewarding role for a strategic communications professional who wants to use their knowledge of the SDGs and global issues to drive impactful results for change-makers.
You should be a communications professional with mid-level experience at a leading communications agency, think tank, international NGO, Foundation, or multilateral organisation.
Key roles and responsibilities
The role will require:
- Developing and delivering campaigns relating to the SDGs and influencing global moments including UNGA and COP.
- Delivering and overseeing content production, including political messaging, press releases and social media posts.
- Driving media strategy and proactively securing impactful media coverage.
- Offering strategic counsel and innovative ideas to both the team and clients, enhancing project outcomes and media impact.
- Managing and mentoring junior team members.
- Ensuring project profitability through excellent time management, budget awareness, and resource allocation.
- Contributing to business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing pitches, and representing the brand as an external ambassador.

Essential experience
- Developed and delivered communications strategies and campaigns related to the SDGs.
- Demonstrated understanding of international development agenda, global media and geopolitics
- Experience working with UN agencies and international organisations
- Media relations experience managing a press office (agency or in house)
- Strong writing skills, particularly the ability to condense complex ideas with precision and impact.
- Strong project management expertise and an ability to drive multiple teams and clients to deliver timely results.
Desirable experience
- Experience in influencing and engagement at global moments including the UN General Assembly (UNGA) and COP.
- Thematic expertise in gender, global health, climate and AI/tech.
- Experience working across sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.
- Experience in managing, mentoring and upskilling junior team members
- Proficiency in languages additional to English.
