The Compliance Expert will additionally contribute to the compliance mandates of the Basel Institute on Governance. These mandates are usually time-specific projects financed by multilateral development banks, investors or by a private-sector company itself. The focus of these projects is either to develop and implement an anti-corruption compliance programme or to strengthen an existing programme. This often entails conducting risk assessments, analysing third-party due diligence practices, drafting policies and training materials and benchmarking standards against international practices.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Provide expert knowledge in anti-corruption for the delivery of the mentorship programme under the Siemens Integrity Initiative as well as specific compliance mandates;
  • Contribute to the development of online tools and trainings;

  • Excellent time management, organisational and planning skills, with ability to multi-task and prioritise;
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, and independent assurance of follow-up to assigned tasks;
  • Proficient in MS Office;
  • Motivated to work for an internationally operating not-for-profit organisation, including with partners in developing and transition countries;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English; proficiency in other languages would be a plus.
