This is a key role in the Trust and in addition to developing a programme of analytically based research the team provides important input into a range of work across the organisation.
A key expectation of this role is developing a programme of work in line with our strategy that differentiates the Trust in these areas and that supports the work of other parts of the organisation. Doing this will sometimes mean working in partnership with others and the ability to develop networks and partnerships will be important. Within the organisation we want to develop a more multidisciplinary way of working and the post-holder will be expected to oversee programmes that bring staff together from different internal teams.
The post holder will develop the information and data analysis capability at the Trust creating a programme of research using a mix of methods, but with a strong analytical basis that supports the strategy of the Trust. They will oversee and co-ordinate the programme determined annually in the corporate strategy; manage key projects as necessary; provide information and analytical support to a portfolio of projects at the Trust to generate income to a level set in the corporate strategy; facilitate and manage a collaborative working relationship with others in the Trust and external agencies (UK and international) working in the health services research and data analytics sphere.
