OTT Consulting Ltd (OTT) supports foundations, governments, international agencies, NGOs, universities, think tanks and the private sector to contribute to better evidence-informed decision making. We do this through different activities, including research, evaluation, strategic advice, facilitation and coaching.
OTT is a fully remote organisation. Our consultants, associates and partners come from different cultural and disciplinary backgrounds and are based all around the world. We take clients on a journey to identify and then meet their needs, challenging them and providing and lasting solutions.
On Think Tanks is OTT’s flagship initiative, a leading global source of information, ideas, and support for think tanks and other members of the evidence-informed policy sector around the world.
Join our global network of consultants
We are always looking out for curious, thoughtful, and experienced practitioners, researchers, evaluators and evidence and policy communicators to help us deliver interesting and often challenging projects.
Examples of recent projects include:
- Supporting the Hewlett Foundation to review and refresh their grantmaking strategy;
- Evaluating the International Development Research Centre’s strategic objective to scale research results; and
- Working with a group of businesspeople in Egypt to set up a think tank or supporting Mawazo – an NGO that supports female academics across Africa – to update its organisational strategy and review its operating model.
As an OTT consultant, you will join a diverse network of consultants who are spread across the world and from a range of cultural and disciplinary backgrounds. You will have an opportunity to join bid and work on a range of interesting projects with various partners and clients. And you will have the opportunity to write about and showcase your work on the OTT platform and represent OTT in local and international fora including workshops and conferences.
We invite you to explore our portfolio of projects before applying. At OTT we do no specialise on any one particular sector (e.g. health, education, rural development). Instead to tend to work across sectors on what we could call “process issues”.
Key experience and skills
We are looking for a range of experiences – from seasoned consultants who think they can make a meaningful contribution to our work to young researchers or evaluators who are looking for an opportunity to develop their own skills and gain experience in this field.
But there are some basics. You must be:
- A critical thinker;
- An excellent communicator; and
- An entrepreneur at heart.
If you are interested in joining our network of consultants, complete this application form, including your CV and cover letter outlining why you’d like to work with us, any relevant previous experience, and your areas of expertise and interest.
Fee rates will be negotiated based on your own personal fee history, experience, knowledge and skills.
We will review candidates on a rolling basis and get in touch if we think you we are the right fit. We will attempt to contact everyone in due course.
Diversity and inclusion
At OTT we value diversity. We are a global initiative. We encourage applicants from all over the world and will not discriminate on the basis of anything other than the candidate’s ability to do the job.
We look forward to hearing from you!
