The Hewlett Foundation is looking for a Program Officer focused on Evidence-Informed Policymaking to join its Global Development and Population Program.

The GD&P has formed a new subcomponent dedicated specifically to understanding and strengthening elements of that ecosystem. This subcomponent, called Evidence-Informed Policymaking, seeks to contribute to the policy process and enable greater evidence use both within developing countries and within multilateral and bilateral agencies.

The Program Officer will work collaboratively with the Program Director and a small team to develop and implement a grantmaking strategy in the field of evidence-informed policymaking in the developing world (particular in Africa). This position will explore multiple dimensions of the evidence-informed policymaking “ecosystem,” including how organizations with different missions and assets generate evidence and facilitate its effective use in policymaking, including program design and implementation
