The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) wishes to appoint a Research Analyst or Research Fellow in its International Security Studies Department, specialising in Asian security studies.

This role requires a person with experience in Asian security studies. An academic background at postgraduate level, relevant to the region, would be highly advantageous. The individual would be expected to make a significant contribution to the development of the Institute’s portfolio of research in the region, represent the institute in London and abroad on East Asian affairs, as well as help manage a number of complicated and substantial China related projects that are already underway. He or she should have strong project management skills, event management abilities, and be prepared to assist travel for others as well as himself/herself, at times frequently.  Mandarin in particular, or another major East Asian language, would be seen as an important skill.
