David Watson

David leads the Communications and Publications department at Chatham House, an independent policy institute and a trusted forum for debate and dialogue, based in the UK. David works closely with research and events colleagues on communications strategy and planning and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.   David has worked on policy development, international negotiations, public affairs and partnerships since 2002. Prior to joining Chatham House, he was the Director of External Affairs at ODI. David worked previously as a civil servant and diplomat for the British Government, including at the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, and in the energy and climate change departments.
