Frejus Thoto

Dr Fréjus Thoto is the Executive Director of the African Center for Equitable Development (ACED), a leading think-and-do tank that drives equitable development across Africa through evidence generation and translation, policy engagement, and on-the-ground action. ACED collaborates with governments and other development actors in the West African region on a range of issues, including food systems, the nature economy, the digital economy, and human development. ACED leads the West African regional hub to support evidence use as part of the Learning Together to Advance Evidence and Equity in Policymaking (LEEPS) initiative. Fréjus has worked for various international organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the African Capacity Building Foundation, the African Union’s Specialized Agency for Capacity Building (ACBF), and the World Bank. He holds a PhD in agricultural economics.
