The Publications department of the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies is looking for a full-time production editor. The ideal candidate is an efficient organiser with a love of good English and outstanding written language skills, and someone eager to work for a think tank dedicated to shaping policy on British and international defence and security.
RUSI produces a broad range of printed and online output, including the RUSI Journal, its Whitehall Paper monograph series, Newsbrief, RUSI Defence Systems and more. These publications combine scholarly rigour and policy relevance and are intended to be readable for a wide audience. The Institute’s published works are well regarded for their accuracy and clarity of expression on often-technical topics.
The production editor will join the Publications department at the Institute’s Whitehall offices and work across a range of periodicals and reports, focusing on papers and briefings produced by the Institute’s research staff. She or he will report to the Director of Publications.
Salary: £27,000
