This project supports Investigate Europe’s work on the Journalism Value Project, an initiative aimed at strengthening the position of independent media in Europe. Through a series of events with key stakeholders—including media organisations, funders, academics, and policymakers—the Investigate Europe seeks to build a shared understanding of the value of public-interest journalism, helping to mobilise greater support for its sustainability.
OTT has been commissioned to design and facilitate an online gathering with European think tanks, researchers, and journalists to explore how investigative journalism contributes to informed public debate, policymaking, and accountability. We will facilitate a participatory “fish-bowl” style conversation to encourage open dialogue. Preceding the event, we help Investigate Europe engage a selection of think tanks to gather insights on how they perceive the role of journalism in their work and the broader policy ecosystem.
This project is an example of OTT’s work at the intersection of evidence, policy, and public interest media—creating spaces for reflection and collaboration across sectors to strengthen democratic institutions and practices.
