The National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR), one of Britain’s most influential and prestigious independent research organisations, is looking for an experienced researcher to work on economic and social policy issues, in particular relating to labour markets, education and health. Our work in this area has a focus on inequality and disadvantage and on identifying policy measures to bring about change.

The recruit will join a team whose interests include migration, education, social mobility, unemployment and precarious work. The recruit is likely to be working on a range of existing projects in the areas of education, employment, training and skills. They should have a strong academic track record, with a masters or PhD in a relevant subject. They should be experienced in securing research funding and in achieving an impact through publication and dissemination. They should also have experience of managing projects and supervising junior staff.

Salary: In the range of £35,094 to £45,321 depending on qualifications and experience
