IPPR (The Institute for Public Policy Research) is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic researcher to contribute to the work of the Work and Families Team. The successful candidate will have excellent research skills and a good knowledge and understanding of UK politics and the public policy making process.

The Researcher will be based in IPPR’s London office and will work across a number of projects, with a particular focus on employment and skills policy. Duties will include: carrying out quantitative research, economic analysis, conducting research, writing reports, contributing to project development, building networks and assisting with events.

The successful candidate will have a graduate level qualification in an economics or social sciences, ideally with a quant component, or related field or equivalent training and work experience. They will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of employment and skills related policy issues with the ability to link analysis to current policy debate. Alongside this they will possess good quantitative research skills. Their policy knowledge and research skills, will be complimented by excellent written communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to manage their workload to meet deadlines, and a clear commitment to the work and values of IPPR.
