The DEJURE Foundation is a non-governmental organization, created by experts and lawyers with the goal of promoting the rule of law and the reform of the judiciary in Ukraine. The name of the organization is the first letters of the words DEMOCRACY, JUSTICE, REFORMS creating DE JURE, a Latin phrase for "in accordance with the law." This reflects our philosophy: democracy in Ukraine is possible only with an effective justice system, the path for which lies in structural reform. Besides judiciary reforms, the foundation's sphere of influence is the development of the child-friendly and business-oriented justice culture.
