The Zayed Bin Sultan Center for Health Sciences was established to contribute to the United Arab Emirates University's mission of becoming a hub for applied health research. It has organised its work under the following programmes to support policy- and decision-makers: population health and clinical epidemiology; trauma and injuries; mental health; maternal and child health; occupational and environmental health; lifestyle determinants of health, behaviour change and community development; health systems and leadership; neuroscience; diabetes and cardiovascular diseases; respiratory diseases; cancer; molecular genetics and genomic medicine; immunoregulation and infection; artificial intelligence and robotics applications in health; and nanotechnology.
