The research institute conducts research on trends in the general economy and various industries in Okayama Prefecture, as well as on corporate management, the aim of which is to promote economic and industrial activities in the prefecture and to contribute to the improvement of society, culture, and welfare in the prefecture. This research institute was established in September 1987 with the support of Okayama Prefecture and the local business community, mainly by the Bank of China.
