GISPRI was established on 1 December 1988 with the permission of the Minister of International Trade and Industry and changed to a general incorporated foundation on 1 April 2012. It aims to conduct research and propose comprehensive policies related to global resource and environmental issues, new international system, and new relationships between industry, economy, culture and society.
