The Higashi-Mikawa Regional Research Center was established in 1983 as an association based on the Higashi-Mikawa Development Conference (renamed the Higashi-Mikawa Social Gathering) to promote regional development in the Higashi-Mikawa region, and has been working as a think tank with the Higashi-Mikawa region as the main area.
