NRI was founded as a corporate body under the jurisdiction of the Economic Planning Agency. Its activity is based mainly on conducting research and making policy proposals on various issues concerning citizens' lives, citizens' attitudes and awareness, society, economy, finance, industry, trade, culture and local issues. Studies are commissioned by the government, local public bodies, companies, other organizations and individuals.
