JILPT's mission is to (1) contribute to the planning of labor policies and work toward their effective and efficient implementation; (2) promote the livelihood of workers and the development of the national economy by conducting comprehensive research projects regarding labor issues and policies, both domestically and internationally; and (3) capitalize on the findings of such research by sponsoring training programs for administrative officials.
