AKADEMIYA2063 is a pan-African non-profit research organisation with headquarters in Kigali, Rwanda, and a regional office in Dakar, Senegal. Established in January 2020, its mission is to develop state-of-the-art technical capacities across Africa, led from Rwanda, to support the efforts of African Union Member States in achieving the key objectives of Agenda 2063, which seeks to transform national economies to promote growth and prosperity. The organisation’s main goal is to help meet the needs of African countries in terms of data, analytics, and mutual learning for the effective implementation of Agenda 2063 and the attainment of its outcomes by a critical mass of Member States. AKADEMIYA2063 supports evidence-based agricultural policymaking in Africa through three core programmes: the Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System (ReSAKSS), the African Growth and Development Policy (AGRODEP) Modelling Consortium, and the Malabo Montpellier (MaMo) Panel and Forum. These programmes aim to strengthen knowledge systems, promote evidence-based policymaking, and contribute to agricultural and economic development, ultimately supporting the achievement of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 aspirations.
