The Australia-Indonesia Centre (AIC) was established in 2014 by both governments to strengthen ties in science, technology, innovation, education, and culture. It brings together 10 leading universities—seven from Indonesia and three from Australia—which rank among the most active in joint research between the two nations. The AIC focuses on research, training and outreach. It identifies new program opportunities, coordinates research, and brings researchers together to solve shared challenges. By connecting people across disciplines, institutions and countries, AIC creates space for collaboration and dialogue - helping its work go further and reach more people.
