The Center for Research on Political Economy (CREPOL) started work in March 2009. The mission of CREPOL is to contribute to the search for a new and appropriate policy approach and institutional framework to support the efforts of West African policy-makers, stakeholders in key sectors of the economy including private and voluntary, and local-level populations aimed at achieving sustainable economic development and social progress. In this regard, CREPOL seeks to play an energetic part in regional and national policy debates and to establish links with policy-makers, research institutes and think tanks both in the African continent and abroad.
