The Centre for Economic and Regional Studies consists of three institutes, the Institute of Economics, the Institute for Regional Studies and the Institute of World Economics. The institute conducts fundamental and applied research in economics. It has focused increasingly on the analysis of the contemporary market economy and the transformation of the Hungarian economy.
