The Centre for the Study of the State and Society, CEDES is an independent, pluralist and non-profit organization. Its main activities are research, teaching, and technical assistance. Its mission is to carry out research in applied social sciences and to train researchers, always guided by quality standards and by a commitment to contributing to social debate. They aim to inform the design, implementation and assessment of public policies and to inform advocacy strategies of diverse stakeholders.
