The Centre for Interdisciplinary Rural Studies (CERI) focuses on the production of knowledge on issues of social interest to feed the informed and informed debate about them. The Centre´s current programs include scientific research on critical aspects of the national reality with emphasis on socio-economic, political and cultural aspects; indigenous anthropology; communication; and local interventions with the orientation of experimental development. The CERI also implements action research projects aimed at reversing situations marked by socio-environmental degradation.
