The Research Centre of the University of the Pacific (CIUP) was created to contribute to solving the economic and social development challenges in Peru through: the production of basic and applied research; the promotion of national policy debates; and carrying out research and consultancies for diverse public and private-sector agencies. The nature of the (CIUP) is interdisciplinary. Through its research areas, it contributes to the methodological development, the design and evaluation of proposals, and the generation of alternatives that can materialize in public development policies and actions in the private sphere.
