The Centre for Economic Research- CIEN is a research/action centre committed to the development of Guatemala and the region. It carries out studies and consultancies to influence public policies with an emphasis on economic, social and security areas. CIEN is a political institution, but not partisan. CIEN investigates, analyses, proposes, and accompanies transformations in public policies. It focuses on Economic Liberty, Social Development, Citizen security and Institutional Strengthening.
