The Romanian Center for Economic Policies (CEROPE) is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organization, founded on October, 1998. CEROPE conducts research on policy issues and other topics of concrete economic importance. It has worked extensively on budgetary, monetary and fiscal policies, privatization, restructuring, trade and foreign direct investment. CEROPE also organizes and runs teaching and training programs in various applied economic areas. In addition, CEROPE has notable expertise on regional development issues and is pursuing a number of projects on South Eastern European issues.
