The purpose of the CPDC is to bundle complementary competencies and resources within the field of Conflict, Peace, and Democracy. The Cluster pursues the goal to contribute to a peaceful, nonviolent and non-discriminatory social progress. In this context, it aims at increasing its visibility within the political and social landscapes within and beyond Austria. Defined by its international approach, the Cluster affords a platform to connect research, teaching, training as well as the practical implementation of research projects that focus on regions and topics with relevance to Austria and the EU. Furthermore, the partners cooperate in the competition for national and international research funding and to promote further academic training.
