This organisation may not be a traditional think tank. We have included it in this list as we deem it to be a 'boundary' organisation – in other words, it might have some qualities or characterstics of a think tank.
The Democracy Development Foundation (DDF) is an independent, non-profit foundation established in December 2022 as a spin-off from the Open Society Foundations. DDF is dedicated to advancing democracy, security, and human rights in Armenia. Its efforts are centered around the vision of a country where people live in dignity and enjoy peace, safety, freedoms, civic engagement, and social justice. It works towards the above-mentioned mission with a commitment to open society values and ideals. DDF focuses on supporting pro-democracy actors and creating partnerships based on shared values and expertise. It empowers the civil society community and leverages its convening power to cultivate alliances for effective local policy and international advocacy efforts. The foundation executes its strategy through in-house operational programs, grants to partner organizations, and by securing external funding, including sub-granting.
