The DVIFA is an agency of the Royal Thai government that provides training and capacity building to newly recruited diplomats, officials to be posted overseas, attaché and third secretary, and second secretary and first secretary of the Thai government in the fields of diplomacy and foreign affairs. The DVIFA also conducts studies and research to provide policy recommendations via symposium, seminar, presentation, and publications on strategic issues that have significant implications for Thai foreign affairs and are beneficial to the public both at the national and regional level
