The Fernando Henrique Cardoso (FHC) Foundation, created by the former president of Brazil, is a presidential library and think tank. The FHC Foundation has a dual purpose: to promote public debate and to produce and disseminate knowledge about developmental and democracy-related challenges in Brazil (in relation to its relationship with the world). In addition, FHC aims to preserve and make available the archives of Ruth Cardoso, Fernando Henrique Cardoso and other public figures linked to the couple, in order to contribute to research and the dissemination of knowledge about Brazilian history. To fulfil its objectives, FHC organises exhibitions, educational events, debates, studies and publications.
