Governance Lab

Governance Lab ‒ GovLab
Kathmandu, Nepal

Governance Lab or GovLab is a Nepal-based think tank established in 2019. It aims to enable the government to make evidence-based policy decisions by producing policy research, strengthening policy implementation capacity and fortifying research and governance ecosystems. It has enabled local governments to dissect economic growth challenges, learn leadership and management skills, and execute team-based public innovation pilots. Its research focus areas include youth employment, access to investment, women's economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and governance reform. In partnership with Inclusion Economics at Yale University and researchers at the London School of Economics, GovLab seeks to understand how policy and development programming can support inclusive political and economic growth in Nepal since its federal transition.
