Gujarat Ecology Society

Gujarat Ecology Society (GES) was founded in 1995. Its mission is to pursue, promote and disseminate knowledge, information and processes that enable conservation, restoration and development of natural resources of Gujarat having regard to their ecological sustainability. GES derives its strength from networking and integrating the inputs by eminent scientists and specialists in distinct disciplines from various agencies in the country in general and Gujarat in particular. GES is recognised as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation by the Government of India, Ministry of Science and Technology, and a member of IUCN - The World Conservation Union.
