The Institute for Applied Research on Family, Childhood and Adolescence at the University of Potsdam (IFK) is an independent research facility that brings together competences from different scientific disciplines. Dedicated scientists develop concepts and measures to promote family and child friendliness as well as quality assurance in the areas of school, day care for children, youth welfare and crime prevention. Experienced practitioners advise on issues of education and development, partnership and parenthood, and family life in the event of separation and divorce.
