The Institute’s mission is to provide an interdisciplinary and plural space for the production and dissemination of knowledge, academic studies and intellectual debate, opening up new opportunities for local and regional development in Chile and Latin America. IDER – UFRO has over time positioned itself nationally and internationally as a center for strategic territorial thinking, generating and transferring knowledge, as well as building collaboration networks that contribute to comprehensive and balanced development. The Institute focuses on regional and local development, as well as the transfer of knowledge through training courses and a master’s program.
