The Institute of Renewable Energies of the UNAM carries out basic and applied scientific research in energy, with emphasis on renewable energies. Its mission is to conduct basic and applied scientific research in energy, with emphasis on renewable energies, which contribute to the development of sustainable energy technologies; carry out studies, consultancies and training for the different sectors of society; train specialized human resources, and disseminate the knowledge acquired for the benefit of the country.
