ISPRI conducts fundamental research in the following directions: political science (modern and contemporary political theories, history of political ideas, political philosophy, sociology and political communication); international relations (study of Euro-Atlantic integration processes at all levels – political, economic, strategic, identity, social; the problem of Romanians everywhere; the wider Black Sea region and the Balkan region; the realization of the new European architecture and the role of NATO and the EU in the international relations system, global developments with regional impact, etc.; sociology and geopolitics of religions and analysis of information warfare and strategic communication (larics.ispri.ro).
