IBRU is recognized as an international resource of information and expertise on boundary and territorial issues throughout the world. IBRU has a publication program and organizes conferences and training workshops on boundary and territorial issues. The unit offers a number of consultancy services and has undertaken research for a wide variety of clients, including governments, international organizations, oil and shipping companies, international law firms, NGOs, and academic institutions.
