Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD), Pakistan, is an independent policy think tank that focuses on policy research, public policy engagement, and leadership development in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. In addition to its Leadership Development Programme (since 1995), Social Capital Development (since 2004), Climate Action Programme (since 2007), and Water Programme (since 2013), LEAD Pakistan launched incubation of three Special Initiatives in 2015: Pakistan-Towards 2047; Knowledge Hub on SDGs; and Sustainable Cities. These strategic programmes aim to shape the development discourse in Pakistan and to ensure that the federal and provincial governments' development agendas are equitable, in line with international commitments and global best practices. LEAD Pakistan hosts several networks of sub-national, national and regional significance.
