The One Country, Two Systems Research Center is a non-governmental organization specializing in Hong Kong's public policy. It was founded at the end of 1990 by a group of Hong Kong celebrities who care about society. The Centre has always worked closely with local business groups and academic institutions to conduct research and exchange activities on Hong Kong's economic development, economic outlets and government policies. The Centre also maintains collaborative relationships with important policy research institutions in the Mainland, co-sponsoring seminars and symposia at all levels to enhance Hong Kong's business community's understanding of the central and regional policies of the Mainland, and to promote social, economic, commercial and academic exchanges between the two places. The center's research programs are divided into five major groups, including economic, social, political, legal, and cultural.
