PDI is a university-affiliated research institute in Korea University run by Department of Political Science and International Relations. It was established to contribute to research on peace and democracy in the Korean Peninsula. PDI has conducted research on peaceful coexistence in the Korean Peninsula and international relations among Asian countries. It seeks to share its research results with the public by opening up access to the public on the website and running civic education programs in order to promote the public understanding of politics, peace, and democracy.
