The Peace of Mind Research (POM Research) is a think tank managed by students at the University of Toronto. They conduct in-depth public policy research on the issues affecting the province of Ontario, from affordable housing to mental healthcare. POM Research was founded in 2021 by Faiz Jan and Kirsten Kelly, initially as a firm intended to advocate for mental health action following research jointly conducted by the Rideau Students’ Union and the Ontario Student Trustees Association. Since then, POM has expanded its work to study and advocate for policies on various subjects of interest with the goal of improving the lives of Ontarians.
