Research Management and Development Division was established to support the expansion of research of the university. Now researching became as important as producing graduates, so that the university could become a research university in the future. This was also to support the research policy of the university that tried to continuously and completely promoted research and development of every academic branches to create knowledge, teaching experiences for academic progress to lead the nation and to solve the problem of the nation, and also to conform to the higher education plan.
