Sustainable Futures Collaborative (SFC) is an independent research organisation analysing frontier issues in climate change, energy, and the environment. They focus on the systemic changes required for India’s transition to a sustainable, just, and resilient economy and society. In these areas, they identify upstream policy levers that, when activated, can drive downstream impact at scale. At SFC, they recognise that the challenges of achieving environmental and social sustainability are not solely failures of effective implementation. They require fundamental shifts in how we understand problems and in the governance frameworks within which stakeholders act. SFC was founded in 2023 to address these upstream conditions, including the development of conceptual frameworks, institutional architectures, and governance approaches that are necessary preconditions for India to develop sustainably.
