THE TARKI has been present in hungarian and international empirical social research for several decades. His priority areas of research include social stratification and mobility, the labour market, income distribution, consumption and lifestyle, and social attitudes. In recent years, it has been carrying out a growing number of European comparative research on behalf of European Union organisations and other customers.
