The Timbuktu Center for Strategic Studies on the Sahel

The Timbuktu Centre for Strategic Studies on the Sahel is an independent research-to-action think tank established by researchers, consultants, and academics committed to peace-building efforts to create a better world. Its work focuses on the Sahel region of West Africa. Its mission is to: 1) Build grassroots alliances across rural Sahel communities to foster sustainable peace. 2) Unite community leaders to identify shared values and goals in the fight against violent extremism. 3) Connect communities with resources to promote cultural awareness, tolerance, and mutual respect.
